Our workshops, conferences, summer schools and seminars bring together top international scholars with promising young researchers to exchange new findings and innovative ideas.
The BGSE/briq Applied Micro Workshop is a seminar series which is jointly organized by briq and the University of Bonn. It takes place at briq every Tuesday during the lecture period at 2:15 p.m. You can subscribe to the web calendar for more information and for automatic updates at IAME.
One of the main goals of the institute is the promotion of young talents. briq organizes two biennial summer schools: the HCEO/briq Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality (SSSI) and the briq Summer School in Behavioral Economics (SSBE). Participants in these summer schools are exposed to recent findings and methods in inequality research and behavioral economics, respectively.
briq organizes a number of workshops and conferences every year. The topics are based on the research focus on behavior and inequality, such as the beliefs workshop and conferences on education. During their first visit, briq Visiting Professors and Visiting Fellows often hold a Short Lecture Series, generally involving several presentations on their research to students, researchers and other interested parties of Bonn.
